...Daddy and Papa...

I am blessed.... My Father in Heaven new that I was special and would need special men to help me while I am on this earth... He couldn't have picked better men...

My daddy is very very important to me... I am the girl version of him... We both stay out of things we can and we both want our voices heard when we want them heard! We both like sports and we both would rather sit and relax than to go somewhere and do something... Dad gets me.... I know that when I go to him for advice its going to be advice that come from experience and its advice that I can use... I love him and I am forever greatful that he is who I chose to help me while I am travel through my mortal life...

My grandpa, or Papa, is one of the most amazing men I could ever know... in fact I would be bold enough to say that he is the most amazing man that most people know... I can not go somewhere or talk to anyone about him who doesn't already know him and have great respect for him, both in the church and in the communities which he has influenced! This man is one of the greatest examples that I can have... He means so much to me and I can not imagine my life without him... I know that when he talks, you need to listen because everyone can benefit from whatever he has to say!

I love both of these men and I love my Heavenly Father... I am blessed by thier worthiness to have the Priesthood which helps bless my life... I hope these men know how much I love them and are greatful for them!

Wedding Bells!

Ok Ok Ok... not MY wedding bells, but my roommates! Lauren and Ashby (my roommate and my other two roommate's brother) are getting married on July 3rd and everyone in my house seems to be doing something to contribute to their wedding plans... except for me :( I mean everyone else is family, but I wanted to do SOMETHING so I decided that I was making the jewelry that Lauren is going to wear for her wedding! I called Ashby and he said that sounded great and that I could just give them to Lauren for her bridal shower on Tuesday... I worked hard most of the day on them and I think they turned out great!
So then I decided that I was going to make my actual room roommate, Tabitha, a necklace and some earrings for her birthday this Friday... well on Sunday she wanted to see what I was making and I told her before that I was going to make her some jewelry and I told her that it was her birthday present and that she couldn't see them... but any one that knows me knows that when I'm excited about a gift, especially a gift that I've made, I CAN'T not show them! so I caved... Tabitha got her present like a week early! Oh and I caved and showed Lauren her jewelry the night that I made them too because I was REALLY proud of them! She LOVED them, but I'm glad I showed them to her because the necklace and bracelet had to be resized... all in all I'm really proud of it all! I also made my boyfriend's sister, Erica, a really pretty bracelet with my great-grandma's old old beads... It was soooo pretty, but I didn't get a picture of it :(

All in all my Saturday was really productive creatively, I wish maybe I had gotten out of the house or something, but hey... I got alot done... like making Lauren's card for her bridal shower... I was soooo excited when I went to JoAnn's Fabrics because they are having the ubber HUGE! sale and I got 30 pieces of scrapbook paper (nice! scrapbook paper) for $5!!! and to make that even more exciting for me they had a couple pieces of paper that matched thier wedding colors.... green and navy blue... when you ask Ashby he says, puke green and navy blue... I think it looks nice... The card turned out great! I miss having time to be ultra-crafty!

Come What May and Love It!

This last month has probably been one of the hardest for me. It seems like everything that I fear and worry about were thrown at me all at once... There is an upside; usually I just break down and let myself become miserable and defeated, but I've really impressed myself. I am strong and take may trials as a blessing, because, well, thats what they truely are! I always hear that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and that the Lord doesn't give you more than you can handle and I now have a firm testimony of it. I guess this month has really made me realize that I guess I can handle alot and that they Lord knows I'm strong, so thats what I've been focusing on; my diving potential. I want to Lord to bless me so I'm pretty much saying, keep throwing those trials, uhmmm I mean blessings =] my way! Come what may, I LOVE IT!

...Sigur Ros...

My co-worker, Erin is letting me buy her comuter speakers from her for like $10 so I can listen to music at work.... I think its crazy that our computers don't come with speakers and I think its crazy to not listen to music while working... so I made a playlist of songs to listen to while working and I didn't want anything that would get me too excited to where I'd want to sing along to it, and then I realized that I had the perfect band... Sigur Ros... they are a band from Iceland and have the most relaxing music ever! Their one song, Hoppípolla, was used for TONS of things, but probably more famously Disney's Earth trailer... There is just something about thier music that I can't resist... I really like thier music video for Glósóli... Hoppípolla and Glósóli's music videos are just too sweet... Glósóli's has a whole bunch of cute kids running around and Hoppípolla's has old people doing tricks that younger kids usually do to old people... I'm posting both... They make me smile... I hope they make ya'll smile to... I guess basically Sigur Ros's musci helps me remember the simple things in life...

And today at work a co-worker made some copies of a TGI Friday coupon that was actaully alowed to be copied for one free entree with th purchase of one for as many times as you can use the coupon until June 22nd!!!! I made copies for my roommates, classmates and for any other person I just happen to come into contact with... I am soooo excited to use them.... this is totally the best thing to happen since Oprah gave out free KFC!

BOM!

So I haven't been as diligent as I started out with this here blog, but hey, I'm still trying... I got full-time for the months of June and July at the Clerks Office which is truely a blessing and I went to Leesburg two weekends in a row for my sister's graduation festivites, talk about a true sister =] Surprisingly enough my car managed to make it there and back, and then there and back again and is recouping very well... To say the least, I am very proud of her!

My summer class on communication is going great and I'm really loving it... My future is just so WIDE open right now that I really could do almost anything and thats exciting yet scary because I have a few plans, I just don't know how well they will go over...

I just finished the Book Of Mormon, and I know its hypocritical, but its the first time I've read it cover to cover... I've always studied my scriptures and I love them, but I really felt like I should read it like anyother person trying to gain a testimony of it would... It makes a world of a difference with your testimony of the book when you read it like that and follow the promise given by Moroni... I LOVE the gospel and my Heavenly Father's plan for me... I know I am a blessed daughter of His and that He saved me for these days for a specific reason... I'm greatful to have been born into the wonderful family I have and I'm greatful for the blessings that come from the scriptures and for the righteous men who risked their lives to write, translate, and bring it forth into the world...
