Day Two... Still Under the Weather

Well, I pretty much slept all day yesterday. Then I woke up this morning, only to sleep a TON more. Then I woke back up to med up, catch up on Gossip Girl, crochet a bit, sleep some more and then to finally try to get out of bed and do something productive. I'm heading out right now to drop some of my headbands off at the post office for some lucky ladies!!!

The King tells me it is freezing outside.

We'll see if that makes this worse or lifts my spirits (I've always LOVED the cold and we so rarely get it in the Sunshine State).

Here's to hoping that I feel TONS better by tomorrow for work and for my weekend ahead.

What are your remedies to feeling better... more specifically for sinus infections as that is what Web MD says I have (well that, among multiple types of cancer).

Tootles. Off to binge on some more Dayquil.

  1. bahaha, I love it! I remember that one time when I had severe cramps for no reason, I got on that website, and I thought for certain I was dying because my thyroid was losing its function.

(this is YEARS ago, back when HOUSE first came out and it seemed likely that people are always dying of strange unknown things.)

Went to the doctor, ready for the worst, turns out I was just really dehydrated (slaps forehead.)

    1. Hahaha I think we all have that moment in our life. Yet, we keep returning to the site for more. I'm glad you were just dehydrated and not dying from thyroid malfunctions.

  2. Oh my! I have the answer. Get you some Epsom salts and follow the directions (measurements, how much to put in bathwater, etc.) I heard it makes you sweat out all of the crud! Besides, who doesn't like a hot bath!? Must try!

  3. I have the feeling that our definitions of Freezing are vastly different.

Putting Eucalyptus essential oil in a corner in the bottom of your shower, then taking the hottest shower you can stand so that the steam gets all fragrant is the best when you feel that way. Stay in there until you kill the hot water, so you can drain all of the crud out. Also, Tavist is the world's greatest decongestant, and Zicam rapid-melts with vitamin C really work. I use them all the time when I get sick, and they cut the sickness in half.

    Feel better soon!

    1. Don't we all! One day its going to be right though and I won't pay attention because of all the times it cried wolf. I hope WebMD feels bad when I croak because of it's craziness.

  5. A hot eucalyptus epsom salt {2 cups} and baking soda {1 cup} detox bath. Afterwards use plenty of lotion and drink lots of water. I swear by it!

  7. WebMD is totally the worse for making you think you are dying. As is their pet equivalent, PetMd. Thought my cat had nasal cancer; turns out her sinuses were dry.

I second the hot shower with eucalyptus oil or salt. It really does work wonders. As does a Neti Pot! It flushes all the crud out of your nose too!

    1. The hot shower worked WONDERS! and I didn't even know that there was a PetMD. I'm kind of freaking out now. When I finally get my puppy, I'm going to constantly be on there freaking myself out lol

    2. Yep hot showers are awesome.
As for Petmd, yep there is one! It's on the main Webmd page. I think it freaks me even more out because I don't know what's normal for my kitty sometimes!
      Have a wonderful Christmas!
